Phi Mu Gamma Tau is proud to welcome back President Erika Sanchez and Treasurer Debra Schwitzer from the 52nd Phi Mu National Convention in San Antonio, Texas. Gamma Tau was recognized with the following achievements for the 2010-2012 biennium: Outstanding Initiation Award, Legacy Recognition Award, Philomathean Society, Outstanding Cumulative GPA Honorable Mention, Chapter Total Award, Perfect Ten on Finance Portion of CTE for one year, Formal Recruitment Quota Award, Academic Honor Roll Award. Phi Mu achieves the highest 2011-2012 Greek GPA
Phi Mu Gamma Tau has achieved the highest GPA of all Greek organizations for both the Fall and Spring semesters of the 2011-2012 academic year. Phi Mu has a cumulative GPA of 3.50, which is the highest of all Panhellenic sororities and the highest of all Greek organizations. Phi Mu consistently achieves an average GPA well above the all-undergraduate (3.33) and all-Greek average (3.35). Phi Mu sweeps Greek Awards & Dean of Student Life Awards
Gamma Tau is proud to announce that Phi Mu as a sorority and as individual members have won more Greek Awards and Dean of Student Life Awards than any other student group! Phi Mu as a whole won the Greek Community Service Award and Highest GPA Award. Senior Alison Ignatowski won the Senior Academic Excellence Award. Senior Charlotte Healy won the Senior Leadership & Campus Activities Award, and the Dean of Student Life Achievement Award. Senior Dani Nemzer won the Spirit of Panhellenic Award. Junior Alexandra Larsen won the Student Excellence Award for Leadership & Service. Finally, Junior Annie Scavelli won the Class of 1979 Memorial Scholarship Award. Congratulations Phi Mu! Phi Mu hosts Rick Barnes at JHU
Gamma Tau had a great time with Rick Barnes, renowned Greek Life speaker, who spoke to all Greek Life fraternity and sorority new members on "Leading with your Letters" and "Living the Dreams of your Founders". Phi Mu President Erika Sanchez initially contacted Mr. Barnes and co-hosted this event with the Panhellenic Council and IFC. Phi Mu finishes 2nd in Greek Weekend Powderpuff
Congratulations to the 2012 Phi Mu Powderpuff team for a great runner-up season! In the first round of Powderpuff play, Phi Mu defeated Alpha Phi 25-0 to move onto the Championship round. Unfortunately Gamma Tau lost to Pi Beta Phi, but we are extremely proud of our 2nd place finish! Great sportsmanship, ladies! Phi Mu Gamma Tau wins the Carnation Cup at the 2010 Phi Mu National Convention
Phi Mu's 51st National Convention was held July 14-17, 2010 at the beautiful Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa. At the last night of the Convention the Carnation Banquet was held and awards were given to many chapters for their hard work during the past biennium. The Carnation Cup is given to the Phi Mu chapter which has shown overall excellence in categories such as finance, programming, philanthropy, public relations, risk management. This is the highest award given to a collegiate chapter and the 2010 winner was JHU's Gamma Tau Chapter! In addition to receiving the Carnation Cup, Gamma Tau's Charlotte Healy was awarded the Pollack Award for her philanthropic efforts both personal and with our chapter. It was a very successful and fun weekend for Gamma Tau and we look forward to remaining one of the top Phi Mu chapters in the country for the years to come! Read more
